NFT metrics approach new local lows despite pushes from major brands and entities (April 21, 2023)

Nifty Thought

• The total number of unique NFT wallets trading has dipped to 8,000 which is sadly down 50% from just last week alone. As mentioned previously on NiftyNoon, only a major catalyst is likely to dramatically change these numbers. Simply put, there needs to be a reason to buy NFTs for the sake of owning them. Today, must NFT purchases are fueled by a desire to speculate on price. Sadly, as more and more NFTs go to zero, so too does that speculation desire diminish. Until this demand catalyst is able to enter the market, it is highly likely prices will continue to fall for the foreseeable future as more supply from the likes of Yuga Labs and Reddit flood into the market.
