Goblintown makes a surprise cameo in the Twitch dominant "Only Up" steam game (June 16, 2023)

Nifty Thought

• Goblintown has done something almost no other project has managed to do: show off its intellectual property in a popular video game. The Steam game “Only Up” has become wildly popular on Twitch often drawing in tens of thousands of viewers. In a nod toward the Goblintown NFT project, the developers have littered their world with Goblintown artwork and even the Goblintown logo throughout the game world. Although this may not do terribly much for the brand in the short term, this strategy will likely be successful in the long term. The best way to build valuable intellectual property is to meaningfully integrate it into mediums that consumers care about (i.e. video games and TV shows). It will be exciting if other NFT projects begin taking note and follow in Goblintown’s footsteps.
