Nifty Thought

• The HV-MTL collection that came from January’s Dookey Dash mania is now being teased by Yuga Labs and Bored Ape Yacht Club. While the art and lore look great, concerns over the total supply of Yuga Labs NFTs are as prevalent as ever. Between the 30K HV-MTLs, 100K Otherside Vessels, and 10K Koda decouplings, the total supply of Yuga Labs NFTs has essentially doubled over just a short few months. As mentioned previously on NiftyNoon, it is not clear if the market can support these frequent supply increases especially as the number of daily NFT participants continues to dwindle.

• In the short term, there may be more pain left for NFTs across the board. In the long term however, the Yuga Labs strategy of creating accessible and desirable entry points into their ecosystem may be an effective mechanism by which brand connection is built with a larger group of people.
