• Milady is one of the most polarizing profile picture projects in the space. It is typically older crypto natives that love Miladies whereas the newer wave of NFT natives tend to take a very negative view on the project. Regardless of this debate, Miladies have remained relevant as one of the largest NFT collections by market cap having easily surpassed former “blue chip” projects such as MoonBirds and Doodles. However, the latest controversy surrounding the project is very alarming to even veteran fans.

• Miladies, known for being chaotic and even degenerate, is suing a former team member that supposedly stole funds from the project’s treasury. This lawsuit in and of itself is viewed very negatively by fans of the project that typically skew more anti-establishment. Furthermore, (likely false) rumors have circulated surrounding the now public identity of the project’s founder with many claiming that he has previously worked for surveillance and government agencies. Sentiment even for former diehard fans seems low for the project. While Miladies have survived formerly catastrophic events in the past, the rapid falls of Moonbirds, Azuki, and DeGods truly demonstrates that this NFT bear market is out for blood.
