After much anticipation, RTFKT finally releases the claim for Clone X's Project Animus Eggs (December 2, 2022)

Nifty Thought

• RTFKT’s mysterious Project Animus has finally begun shipping NFTs to Clone X holders. Curiously, it seems that the current batch of Project Animus eggs can only be obtained from Clone X holders with no public mint or purchase process made available. It is not clear what the purpose of Project Animus will be although it is likely not a coincidence that it is launching in tandem with Nike’s (the parent company of RTFKT) Swoosh NFT plans.

• NFTs and crypto prices have remained relatively healthy as the dust settles from FTX’s collapse. Although there is still likely contagion that has yet to be revealed, it is clear that there is sufficient buy-side demand for the foreseeable future. While many people would love the opportunity to once again purchase Ethereum at $600, it is unlikely we see those prices again barring a major black swan event.

• Coinbase announces users can no longer send NFTs on their iOS wallet due to Apple’s request to take 30% of gas fees:

  Apple’s claim is that the gas fees required to send NFTs need to be paid through their In-App Purchase system, so that they can collect 30% of the gas fee.
