PROOF Grails III finally begins mint process in a celebration of crypto art (January 18, 2023)

Nifty Thought

• PROOF Grails III was initially slated to release in 2022 but the delay seems to have been worth it. PROOF has introduced several interesting new mechanics, including a shift away from its edition-only format, that empowers artists to innovate and experiment. Although the price action for Grails III mint passes was underwhelming (generally pricing between 2 and 3 ETH), the price performance of the actual minted art from this Grails is far more important. If a highly valuable piece of crypto art is found in this collection, such as the Grails I Protoglyphs from Larva Labs, the entire Grails system will be validated and likely receive a mint pass price boost for the next season. The allure of buying a true grail at a low price could prop up future mint pass prices. While Grails II had lacked this bait to a certain extent, Grails III may prove to be PROOF’s redemption.
