• Koda decoupling has been widely anticipated since the creatures first appeared on Otherdeed land plots during the project’s mid-2022 reveal. Since then the prices of Kodas have ranged wildly. Most NFT traders today view Kodas as one of the best NFTs to use to bet on Yuga Labs. The idea is that Yuga Labs has invested a significant portion of their future into their Otherside Metaverse and Kodas are viewed as the key to that metaverse, perhaps even elevated above the original Bored Ape Yacht Club project. Decoupling will finally enable Kodas to stand as their own collection rather than as a part of the Otherdeed collection and further reinforces their importance.

• Collaborations with mainstream brands such as Gucci are a great thing for Yuga Labs and NFTs overall. Whereas most brands will share NFT-related projects from web3 dedicated social media, Gucci is proudly advertising their Otherside necklace on their main Twitter page. This is a big deal in normalizing NFT products in the minds of regular consumers, especially if other large brands begin to follow.
