• Today is a big day for the NFT space. After months of various farming for $BLUR, the upstart NFT marketplace will finally be releasing its token to the public. Thoughts on the outcome of this are mixed. Many people believe the removal of NFT bid incentives will result in NFT floor prices crashing across the board, other people believe that the injection of DeFi money will result in a widespread NFT pump.

• The team at NiftyNoon leans toward the latter. Paradigm, a well-respected crypto investor, is intimately involved with Blur’s efforts. Historically they have shown a propensity for developing interesting tokenomic models. Furthermore, many non-NFT people follow their projects and may be interested in purchasing $BLUR simply due to its affiliation with Paradigm. This is all compounded with Coinbase’s listing of the $BLUR token on its platform. The net result of this might be an injection of new capital and liquidity into the NFT ecosystem that pushes floor prices up across the board. In particular, the NiftyNoon team is especially focused on the potential price action of Pudgy Penguins which have been staying in the 5 ETH range for a few days leading up to this event.
