• Miami Art Basel 2022 was an excellent opportunity for NFT projects to demonstrate strength during this tumultuous bear market. However, an interesting debate has emerged over the financial impact of these events. Doodles first took the steps necessary to reach the mid-tier of NFT projects at Miami Art Basel 2021 and solidified that position at SXSW 2021 with their highly successful activation with Shopify. In the bear market, these activations seem to be much less impactful in terms of floor price but still cost projects hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of dollars. It may be wise to view these events as long-term business development opportunities. Although they may not deliver immediate financial returns, the relationships developed here between founders and builders may be paramount for the future.

• Furthermore, the positioning of NFT projects as credible contributors to mainstream art is also extremely valuable. Positioning CryptoPunk 305 right next to Andy Warhol's American Lady is a powerful statement for the space that will hopefully open up new opportunities for NFTs in the world of traditional art.
