• Generative art seems to be the big winner of the current NFT bear market with projects such as Memories of Qilin and Gazers seeing massive runups in recent weeks. It is therefore no surprise that Chromie Squiggles, the face of generative art, has done so well in this market. Although almost nothing goes straight up with no pullbacks and retraces, the long term viability of Chromie Squiggles will likely remain durable. Chromie Squiggles should benefit from the tailwinds of generative art in the say way that CryptoPunks benefitted from the tailwinds of profile pictures. As the push toward cryptoart continues with SuperRare’s RarePass and the Art Blocks friendship bracelets, it is easy to see Chromie Squiggles doing extremely well in the long run.
