NiftyNoon: Can Degods Season 3 Live Up to the Hype?

DeGods Season 3 has the NFT market in a speculative frenzy (August 2, 2023)

Nifty Thought

• DeGods Season 3 has completely captivated NFT Twitter. Many have speculated on DeGods introducing female counterparts somehow wrapped into the original NFT. There likely has not been this much anticipation for a single NFT event since the Azuki Las Vegas party in June. As I warned leading up to the Azuki event, the greatest thief of joy is a high expectation. It has been increasingly difficult for any team, even the mighty Yuga Labs, to even meet market expectations these days. Exceeding the wild speculation and anticipation leading up to DeGods season 3 will likely be impossible.

• While FrankDeGods and his team has done a great job of “winning” the NFT market thus far, it is very difficult to overcome the simple market headwinds dominating the space today. The speculative liquidity being injected into the project leading up this event will likely be a rare bear market opportunity to take profits. With all of that being said, I am deeply rooting for the success of DeGods and hope they can overcome these market conditions. They are one of the few NFT teams remaining that even has a chance to do so. A win for DeGods is a win for NFTs as we know them.
