NiftyNoon: Can $BLUR Lending Save BAYC and MAYC?

Holders are hoping the introduction of BLUR Lending’s synthetic liquidity can reverse the downward price trends of the BAYC and MAYC collections (May 16, 2023)

Nifty Thought

• Blur Lending has come to the apes: Bored Ape Yacht Club and Mutant Ape Yacht Club. While these collections, particularly Mutant Ape Yacht Club, experienced initial rises in floor price prior to this announcement in anticipation of lending, the actual launch of lending itself seems to have done little to push the collection's floor price up. In other words, this is a classic example of buying the rumor and selling the news.

• Blur Lending's synthetic liquidity was successful in propping up the market initially. However, it seems that even this synthetic liquidity is no longer sufficient to prop the market up. The only thing that can rescue the NFT market is increased demand from new buyers, but only time will tell where that demand will come from.
