• Azuki’s partnership with Bilibili is a big deal. Bilibili is one of the largest video streaming websites in China with particularly high penetration amongst young Chinese consumers. Enabling verified PFPs on this major Chinese social media platform is a key first step in cementing Azuki’s position as a Veblen good. Mianzi culture, showing the best version of yourself to the world, is highly prevalent in China and has led to more brand-dominated consumer preferences within the region. If Azuki can secure further partnerships with platforms such as WeChat, Weibo, and Xiaohongshu, they can be the first to market in creating the digital Hermès that could become the ultimate tool for social signaling within China.
