• Visa, the world’s largest payments company and a top 15 company worldwide by market cap, has been expanding its crypto efforts despite the bear market. They have introduced many novel efforts ranging from enabling gas fee payments with credit cards to their recent expansion of their stablecoin settlement pilot to Solana. Visa’s dominance in payments has uniquely equipped it to set the pace for what technologies the industry must pay attention to. Their consistent efforts in cryptocurrency are revealing and should be taken as a stronger signal than efforts from other large companies. Very few firms understand payments and the future of payments better than Visa does. If they believe it the blockchain is a space worth investing effort into, there is a fair chance they are correct.
